Our island is located on Newboro lake, which is a part of the Rideau Lakes canal system, and in our opinion one of the most beautiful and relaxing places on this Earth. It’s just a short boat ride from the Newboro wharf, where will be happy to pick you up (ferry service charges may apply), or provide instructions if you prefer to bring your own boat. Local 3rd-party “water taxi” service may be available as well. Canoeists? Paddle-Boarders? – you can paddle from wharf to island in about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on conditions.
The wharf is at the end of Lock Rd., near the Canal lock area. Parking is readily available.

Here’s Newboro!

Go to the wharf (end of Lock Rd.) to get to Holder Island.
